Sculpture & Physical Animation

Originally created as a standalone sculpture in 2020, Personal Space is a way to rethink isolation as a form of comfort rather than crisis after the COVID-19 pandemic. Using bent lamination and pink cotton gauze, I created a child-like comfort that can be folded and transported easily for use.

In 2021, I reimagined this piece into an interactive animation screen. This 7x7x4 ft bubble allows two people to lay comfortably, with abstracted dancing animations wrapping the entirety of the space.
